What I Got For My Birthday

Hey guys, so it was my birthday last week, and I turned 20!! I thought that I'd do a little post on what I got, because I know I love reading these posts; maybe it's just because I'm really nosy though! I just want to say that I'm not bragging, and I am so grateful for everything I got, and everyone who was a part of my day. I'm gonna jump right in because this might be a long one!

First up are 3 pieces that my mum ordered for me from New Look, One is the hooded cape I so desperately wanted a few weeks ago, and the other two are boots. Now shoes are a bit of a difficult topic for me, because I have quite big feet - Size 9, with a wide fitting. It can be quite hard to find shoes, but we finally have! New Look is the place to go if you have slightly larger feet!

My Beautiful hooded cape; The cape pattern

Black Diamante Detailed Boots

Grey Boots - Low Heel, Knit Turndown, Buckle Detail

Next was a little bit of a joke between us; it's the 'Computer Coding for kids' book by Carol Vorderman. I'm actually studying a Computer Science module in college, and this book covers he same thing! I think it's a bit of a pity that coding wasn't a big deal when we were younger, I can't help but feel that I'm learning something that in a few years will be common knowledge to everyone. Besides my own little worries though, this book is actually really helpful, and definitely worth it!

For a long time now, I've been lusting after owl cushions, and decorations of any sorts. So, for my birthday, my mom got me this adorable little owl doorstop with cute glasses and all. I am in love with this, but it definitely won't be going on the ground, that's for sure. It's from Penneys by the way incase anyone wants one!

My sister promised me these adorable little lunchboxes a while ago, and got them for me for my birthday! They'e so cute, and the bottom half of the box is purple; it almost makes me excited to go back to college! You can get them in Arnotts, Avoca, or sometimes Easons as far as I know!

Next is something that I've been 100% obsessed with over the last few months - Mason Jars! When I opened this I honestly couldn't believe it; I've been searching for them, and hadn't seen them anywhere! This set comes with 2 mason jars, with flower pattern lids, a recipe booklet, and 4 straws(except the straws were missing in mine!). It is suer cute, and can be bough in Heatons if anyone would like them!

These last two weren't really presents as much as last minute things we picked up! We went for dinner in Liffey Valley, and when we finished we took a little gander in Boots. I picked up this eyeliner marker by Miss Sporty because it was quite cheap, and I really want to teach myself to use it. I'm fine with a pencil, but anything liquid completely throws me!

Finally, I grabbed the Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in the shade 22. It's a beautiful classic red colour, and is so gorgeous. I didn't have a plain red colour before this, so I can not wait to use it!

That's everything I got for my birthday, and again I am so grateful. I hope y'all enjoyed this, and let me know down below if you've ever seen these, or if you've tried the makeup! I'll be back soon!

I Went Shopping!

I've done it again, I went shopping! it has been a while since I bought anything much, but I finally went out and treated myself after I handed in my assignment; and Liffey Valley is on the way home, so it had to happen!  I only picked up a few little things, but I'm still soo excited about them!

The first thing are these 'Tea tree and witch hazel facial pore strips' - sounds delightful! I bought these to use as nose pore strips, simply because they were cheaper, and had the exact same ting written on the packet as the actual nose strips. Hopefully I won't regret doing that, but I have heard that they work amazingly well, and I've been looking for quite some time since my last ones ran out. They are Boots own brand, but are the same idea as any of the bigger named brands!  They normally cost €6.49, but I grabbed them on sale for €3.24.  I can't wait to try them out and see if they live up to all these reviews!

The next product I picked up was a Sleek MakeUp True Colour lipstick in the shade 'exxxagerate' - a beautiful purple shade. I've been lusting after this for quite some time, and can not wait to wear it out! It only cost €5.99, and is a beaut. It is quite a small lipstick as well, so is perfect to throw in your makeup bag to bring with you!

I then found the one thing I was looking for which was the No7 MakeUp Brush Cleanser. My cousin was raving about this the last time I saw her so I had to try it! It is quite pricey at €10.50, and the vouchers we always seem to have don't work on it, as it's seen as an 'accessory'. But, in the end I'm sure it will be worth every penny!

The last thing  grabbed, was something I saw just before I left, and thank God I did! It's this Soap & Glory 'Face Massage Mini Mitt', looks a beauty. I actually picked this up with the idea that I could use it to wash my brushes, as it look quite a lot like all the ones I've seen, and is half the price. It was only €5.50, so you can't blame me for wanting to run away with the whole rack, but I better see how it works first!

I hope y'all enjoyed this a little bit, and I'll be back really soon! I'm  only just finished exams, so it's like a mad house here! Let me know in the comments if you've tried any of this, or just say hi!

I Bought Everything! (Haul Post)

I've been on a few trips to Boots in Liffey Valley over the last week - just to look obviously! But, of course I couldn't resist the deals they had, and left with half the shop, as per usual!

Here's all the little bits I picked up; some of these are things I've been looking for for a while, and others were just spur of the moment decisions!

So, 'Collection' had a 3 for 2 offer on in boots last week, so I could not resist!
I picked up the 'Lasting Perfection' Concealer, I've bought it befoe, and I really like it; I find it blends really well with my skintone! I use the shade 'Fair 1' - the lightest shade! Plus it's only €

I then picked up the 'Lasting Gel Nail Colour' in 'Stormy Grey 11' just to see how t would live up to the Barry M one. Now, it's not grey in any way, t's definitely a nude/brown shade, but it is beautiful.
You will need two coats of it, if you want it to really shine though - but it's definitely worth the €3.99

Finally, I grabbed their 'Work The Colour Eyebrow Kit'! It has thee different powders for filling in your brows, and a clear brow gel! Now, I've never used a bow gel before so I'm excited to see how this works, and the powders appear to be quite well pigmented, so I'm excited to try them!
All for only €

Boots had a 3 for 2 on all cosmetics deal going on, so I picked up these two beauties, as well as a brush which you'll see soon!

The 'Stay Matte' powder, is a powder I had before, and loved, so I decided to go back to it! The only problem I have with this, is that it's not the best to carry around with you - the last one I had broke within a week!

Then I grabbed this beauty of a foundation I've been looking for since it came out; but for some reason, Boots have been sold out of the ivory colour forever! I'm excited for this, and hope that it lives up to the 25 hour promise they make! I will definitely get back to you with that!

Next up is the Barry M section; now I don't generally buy stuff from Barry M,, but their new nail colours are out, and if you spend more than €9, you got a free mascara! What? Yes please!
I picked up their 'Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint' in '????' and I also grabbed a grey which seems to have disappeared already! They were only €5.99 each, and I hear that they're really good, so I'm looking forward to tying them out!

And, because I spent more than €9, I got their 'Showgirl' mascara (worth €7.49) free! The wand looks surprisingly good, so I can't wait to try it once my current one runs out!

And lastly, I took advantage of the No7 vouchers that Boots give out at the counter!
I picked up the 'Rapid Spot Relief' from No7's 'Beautiful Skin' range; this is one of the first No7 products I've bought, so I decided to try something a little different to what I'd usually try! This is usually €11, but their voucher lets you take €6.50 off the original price, so it only cost me €4.50.

That's almost everything I've picked up lately, but I'll have more posts coming for you soon enough I'm sure! I just can't seem to resist buying everything in my sight!
Let me know if y'all have tried any of these, I'd love to know what y'all think!

Haul Of My Faves

Wait a second, what is this? Two clothes hauls in a row? Wow Emma, you must never leave the shops right? Oh, how I wish that was true!

These first two, are some absolute beauties; yes, they are the same piece of clothing in two different colours, and I am one hundred and twenty-five percent okay with that! I've never really been one to go for really bright, out-there colours, so you can imagine the fear I felt buying the both of these!
But, I have to say, that I am now a firm believer that colour can and will completely change your outfit!

The first one's a yellow ombré shirt, and the second a purple ombré shirt; they're quite long, and reach about mid-thigh! I wear mine with a skater skirt, crop top and pumps!  I bought them in a little boutique in New Ross in Co. Wexford, called 'Town and Country', and they were on sale for €22.49 each... not too bad right?

These are some of my favourite items of clothing, it's not even that they're particularly breathtakingly beautiful; but I have a deep adoration for them and where they come from!
I bought them online, from a youtubers merch website; for some reason I feel like these tops 100% get me!

The two guys are 'Shep689' on YouTube, and they do daily vlogs as well as their own videos on their own channels! I met them this past summer (You can see that post here!), and they are some of the most genuine people I've ever met, and they design pretty beautiful clothing too!

The t-shirt up there is $20, and the tank top is $25; they're both still available right now (but I'm not sure for how much longer)! The website is here!

Sooo, that's all for now folks, I hope y'all enjoyed this, and I'll be back super soon with another post for y'all!

Hair (Accessories) Haul

This title sounds a lot creepier written down than it did in my head... oops! I promise that I have not spent days collecting peoples hair *shudder*. To be fair I should have named it 'Hair Accessories Haul', but sure you win some, you lose some!
I'd just like to say that this is a collective haul, along with the rest of the hauls I'm putting up! I definitely didn't pick it all up in one crazy shopping trip! So I still haven't worked out how to store all of these just yet, so they're still in a lil River Island bag on my desk!

So now, take a look at this fancy little arty shot I made... yeah feast your eyes on this! Isn't she a beauty? Ok I'm done now... sorry!

Ok, you're welcome! Now here's the little bits I bought for my hair over the summer!
(In another fancy collage... I know!)

1. Up first, is my new scrunchies. I'm still  not 100% sure whether or not I'll wear these too often, but I do think they're very cute, and they'll come out every once in a while!
The first is a mint and navy polka dot scrunchie from River Island and was €6, quite steep for a scrunchie. but I couldn't resist it!
The second is a multi-colour almost paint splatter scrunchie. It cost me €3 on sale in New Look - half price, so really it was begging me to buy it!

2. Next up is my new love! I have fallen completely head over heels with bun garlands. I don't know why, but they are so so adorable, and can dress up the simplest outfits!
The white/cream and dark blue/black ones above I bought in Penneys, and are definitely my favourite, as they are completely surrounded by flowers, leaving no gaps! They only cost €2.50.
The mint green one was bought in New Look for €3.99, I think it's beautiful because I love the colour, but I wish it was completely surrounded by flowers.
And the last one - the pink daisies - is the first bun garland I bought; I picked it up in River Island for €6. It's super cute and I love the baby pink colour.

3. Next is my super cute hair bow. It's actually quite big, and has a lovely watermelon print on a black background! It was only €3 in New Look (I think?). It was definitely worth it though, as it makes pulling back your hair a lot cuter than just bobby pins.

4. Lastly are my headbands; I've only recently gotten into these, as I've started to try and wear my hair down more often, so these dress it up a bit.
First is a simple navy/black rose design I got in Penneys for €2.50 - personally my favourite.
The next is a twisted bead design, which actually looks lovely when your hair is in a loose bun. This is from New Look and was only €3.99.
And the last one is a sort of tribal beaded design, I haven't worn this much, but it is simply adorable! It was only €2.99 in New Look as well!

So thoses are all the little hair bits I've gone crazy over recently! I rarely buy any 'cute' hair accessories, as I used to wear my hair pulled back a lot! Now that it's a quite a bit longer, I'm excited to wear all these a bit more!

I hope you enjoyed this, and I'm so happy to be back blogging! Leave a comment if there's anything you want to know!

#BackToCollege Clothing Haul -Penneys

I've just headed back to the good old college life, and I decided it'd be fun to do a little bit of shopping for it! I realised after photographing all my new clothes, that I seem to have bought a thousand tops, and absolutely no bottoms. That is not the case though, they are on the way!

Here's all the little things I bought in Penneys; hope you enjoy all these lil bits!

First up is a plain black ribbed crop top. I'm probably going to wear this under some of the chiffon shirts I have, simply because I find it is just a little bit too short to wear uncovered. I think it'll pair with almost anything because it's so simple and understated.
I got this in Penneys for €1, so I really couldn't say no when I saw it!

The second one up there, is a white chiffon shirt, I absolutely adore the pattern on this shirt; a simple black daisy print all over. I personally find that it's perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans just a little bit, so you don't have to try too hard, but still look like you tried.
This beauty was on sale for only €7 in Penneys.

This little top in the middle, is a beautiful shade of mint green, and the perfect length for a crop top. It's just the right length to be able to tuck into any high-waisted skirt or shorts, but also looks adorable left untucked for a slightly flowier look.
This was again on sale for only €1 in Penneys.

No. 4 up above is a beautiful (although slightly see-through) floral print on the front, and plain white on the back. I love wearing it with a simple black or denim skater skirt; as it's quite a detailed print, it's nice to pair it with something a bit simpler.
This was only €3 in Penneys.

And last, is one of my favourite tops I've bought! It's actually a 'muscle tank', meaning there is almost no sides to the top; now I didn't realise this before I bought it, but it looks super cute with a bandeau or bralette underneath. Also the saying 'I'd rather be in L.A.' - a girl can dream right?

So these are just the little bits I grabbed in Penneys before college, but I have quite a lot of clothes from other shops around Ireland! I'm soo excited to get those out as well, because some of the things are just soo cute!

Hope you enjoyed this, and can't wait for the next one (too much?).

#BackToCollege Folder Haul

This may be a bit of a weird one, I have a slight obsession with buying new stationery for college! But I do it every year, so I have way too many stashed away at home! I'm not the only one who just has to buy every little cute folder I see, right?

Well anyway here's the cutest lil ones I could find this time, and I can not wait to use them now I'm back in college!

Theses two are super sweet! The first is a vertical stripe in black, white and grey, and was just right down my street when I saw it; couldn't resist!  The second is a dark and light blue kinda tribal pattern, and is super adorable. I quite like it actually! I bought both of these in Aldi for only €1.99 - such a steal

Now these two are probably my favourites - but to be honest I say that about all of them! They are both quite a similar patter, just that the second has 4 characters blown up on it. It looks a bit weird on here, but the background is squares, like you would have had in maths copies!
The first is actually a lever arch file, so is that little bit bigger - absolutely perfect for all my college notes!
I bought both of these in Tesco - The big one for €3.50 and the smaller for €2.75.

This one is a cutie I bought in the book station for €1.75 - I got two! It's just a very simple plastic folder with elastic around the corners to keep it closed. The horizontal stripes in different shades of green are so cute! I'm hoping it'll work well to keep in my bag so I don't have to carry the bigger folders to college!

This is the last one I have! It was only 99c in Easons, definitely worth it too! It's simply the cutest cartoon pattern all round; I absolutely adore this old fashioned prints and the womens makeup is to die for!

That's all I've got folder wise for ye! I hope you enjoyed seeing them! And you should definitely go buy some pretty stationery if you haven't done it all ready this summer! Thank you so much for reading this!

Beauty Haul Time

Ok I have a confession to make... I went a little bit crazy on Valentines Day when my favourite website had a sale for all us lovely single people! I got 20% off all of these products (thankfully), but I have included the original prices incase anyone is wondering!

I'll admit I made quite an impact on my card that day... But these are things I have been dying to try for a long time! So y'all have Cloud10Beauty to thank for this!

I have a slight obsession with EOS lipbalms thanks to watching youtubers, so I decided I NEEDED to buy myself another one (and three for my sister!) I got myself the pomegranate and raspberry flavour (€6.95), and I love it! I've always found these lip balms really moisturising as well as smelling and tasting amazing! I'll let you know my sisters opinion on hers when she gets them!

I also got the Sleek 'Au Naturel' eyeshadow palette (Originally €9.99) It has some beautiful earthy brown tones, as well as some beautiful pale and quite dark colours! I used it this weekend and I adored it; it lasts all night too! The pigmentation is amazing so I know this will last for a long time!

I always seem to have a bit of a problem with finding a powder that not only looks good, but that I can carry around with me all day! I'm trying out the Sleek Professional Finishing Powder (Usually €8.49), and so far I'm loving it! It sets my makeup perfectly but doesn't give too heavy a coverage! Powder always seems to make my skin extremely dry also, but thankfully this one hasn't so far!! The only problem I have with this powder is that because it's a loose powder, I seem to get it all over me when I'm doing my face; and I always tip out too much or not enough!

The last things I got were three Real Techniques brushes. I bought the Powder Brush, Stippling Brush, and Setting Brush!

I absolutely adore the Powder Brush (Normally €13.50) I couldn't resist it! Don't get me wrong, it is hella huge, but it holds product perfectly, and buffs powder into the skin with no problem!

The Stippling Brush (Usually €13.50) is the prettiest brush I own, and when you get the hang of it, it can apply your foundation so flawlessly! I can't lie, the first few times I tried it I had a few streaks and a bit of an uneven coverage, but after some practice I get it right almost every time! The only thing I don't like is that it takes time to use a stippling brush every day, so it might not be the best idea if you're always rushing!

This Setting Brush (Usually €8.50) is the sweetest little face brush I've ever seen! I still haven't decided exactly what I'm going to use it for, but at the moment it's being used to blend my concealer; and it's working quite well if I'm honest!

That was all I have for this lil haul/review! I hope this didn't bore you too much, and you should definitely try out some of these products!

Love and Hugs, Emma xx
