Doing 'More'

So at the start of 2014 I had a little "New Year, New Me" Phase and I realised some interesting things!

There's a picture I found on twitter at the start of January, which I absolutely loved, until I read the last two lines. I loved the idea of getting out and 'doing more'; being more productive! I printed it out, stuck it on my wall, and away I was!
But looking at it every day made me realise that I was wrong, that it wasn't as simple as just getting up in the morning and doing more! Sure, it's a lovely thought that everything can be sorted so easily, but then 'more' becomes 'too much'!
It's hard to know where to draw the line between doing more and simply doing the best you can! (Queue the cheese!)
It took until recently for me to realise that you, at your best, is enough; that everything you do, once you try, is enough! There's no need to force yourself to do more than you can; no need to fall over yourself to please others; and no need to be something, or someone, that you aren't.
Sure, I'd love to be able to say at the end of 2014, that I've gotten out and done all these things; but lets be realistic, I won't, I can't, I don't have enough time in the day to fulfil the first nine steps of this list! BUT I'll be able to say I tried, that I went our there and I did everything I could to be my best; not to simply do more; but to do everything I was able to!
And at the end of 2014 I'm going to look back at this and realise that it was enough, and it will always be enough! And I hope you can to; go out there and be the best you can be, cause there isn't anyone who does you, better than you do!
If you take anything from this at all, be it that you should follow point 10 on this list.... that's all you need to do!
Love and Hugs, Emma xx
